May Boot Camp

I hope everyone enjoyed the boot camp. Gotta thank Coach Laura for handling the class, she did a great job and enjoyed working with all of y'all. The May class went so well that the 5:30 slot will be come a regular class time starting in June. So if you want to continue with the the workout program just let us know. If you go to our main website you can see the other hours that we have classes. Maybe one works for you. I know y'all watched the 6:00am class do their workout and y'all are more than ready to try out a regular class.

4TH Week of Boot Camp





Well here it is the 4th week of boot camp and y'all are going strong. There are not as many of you as the there was the first morning, but to those that have been able to stick it out for the past few weeks, KUDOS to you. It is not easy getting up early to come in and workout. You have to be driven to do such a thing. Y'alls drive and determination has paid off, and y'all are stronger and faster for it. So now you have a little taste of what CrossFit is all about. If you would like to sign up for a June class just let us know. Any of the coaches can tell you about the.

Thanks for giving us the opportunity to show y'all a different and more efficient way to stay in shape both physically and mentally.

Start of the 3rd week!

Here it is, your starting the 3rd week of boot camp. High Fives to those that have stuck it out. CrossFit is not for everyone, but you will never know until you try. I hope everyone is enjoying the workouts, and noticing a difference in there strength and conditioning. If y'all want to continue the program or if you would like to try our main CrossFit class, please contact Myself or Brent.. We are already taking names for next month..See y'all soon.

Tuesday

One week down and three to go. Y'all are going strong and hanging in there. The key is that the workout is not long, so you have to push yourself the entire time. When you do that the payback will be what your looking for out of a workout. If y'all have any questions about what we do in the regular CrossFit class, just hang after class a little while and watch. The Boot Camp is actually helping you develop the basic movements we do in CrossFit. So if you want to try our regular class out after the Boot Camp is over, we would love to put you through a baseline test. By the way I am going to be taking some photos this week, but I am not sure when..

Diet and Exercise

Most of y'all know that exercise by itself is not enough. There has to be a change in eating habits. CrossFit has a simple diet, but it is not easy to keep up. The diet of lean meats, nuts and seeds, vegetables, some fruit, little starch and no sugar (processed). I know that last one is pretty tough. The easiest thing is to start small. Maybe you start with breakfast and cut out the sugar. I know, I know, most everything has sugar added or contains fructose. Try eggs, sauteed spinach or some other veggies. The bowl of cereal is just not going to do it for you.

Like we said, CrossFit is high intensity for a short period of time. We are mainly working out anaerobically, not aerobically. You will get your metabolic conditioning through anaerobic activity. To get the most out of these types of workouts you have to be getting after it.

Another thing I want to say is that we did not weigh you for a reason. We don't much like the scale. The best indicator is the way your clothes start feel and how good you feel.
